Post-Acute Ownership Research
Recurring research built from the same public filings as the rest of the site. Each series is recomputed each edition and every edition keeps its own URL, so a figure cited from an earlier edition does not silently change.
Research Series
- Nursing Home Ownership Change Monitor — Recorded changes of ownership by year across the covered states, with the CMS reporting lag stated. Q3 2026 edition
- Post-Acute Transaction Report — Recorded ownership change by state, adjusted for the size of each state's provider base. Q3 2026 edition
- Ownership Concentration in Home Health and Hospice — How concentrated home health and hospice ownership is, measured against skilled nursing. Q3 2026 edition

Series Not Yet Published
These are planned and are not published, because the integrated data does not yet support them. What each one needs is stated so the gap is visible rather than implied:
- State of Skilled Nursing Financial Distress — Needs an agreed free aggregate. Facility-level distress scoring is a paid dataset, so a free edition has to publish state-level conclusions only, and that boundary has to be set before the first edition.
- Fastest-Growing Nursing Home Operators — Needs a facility-count time series. The integrated data holds current portfolio counts, not historical ones, so growth cannot yet be measured without inferring it.
- Recorded Post-Acute Lender Exposure — Needs the recorded lender and security relationships integrated into the golden master. They exist in CMS filings and drive the Lender Exposure Report, but are not yet in the research dataset.
